Sponsored By The
??? date TBD, 2001
Details:
- This is a camping festival sponsored by the
Orange Jugglers.
The campground has running water, pit toilets, rinse off showers,
covered dining areas, campfire pits and BBQ grills.
- Saturday night we'll have a potluck FEAST!
- The possibility of a public show exists, but we make no promises.
- Outdoor juggling all day and torch jugging all night.
- Volley-Club with our official OJ Volley-Club Net. Or try Frisbee-Club, the latest rage!
- Non juggling fun: snorkeling, diving, hiking, horseshoes and fun around
the campfire.
Cost:
- $65 per person. This includes round trip boat fare, 2 nights of camping, firewood, kayak rental, stove and fuel! The ONLY boat to Two Harbors is out of San Pedro.
- If you arrange your own transportation, the cost is just $15 per person per night.
- $10 T-shirt. Limited edition and highly prized.
Things you need to do:
- Reserve your camping spot with Frank (phone number listed below)
- Reserve a spot on the boat with Frank, or make your own arrangements. Some jugglers have their own boats, if you're lucky you might catch a ride with one of them. DO NOT go to Avalon - We are at the Isthmus/Two Harbors!
- Bring your own food. There is a store in Two Harbors but they are expensive. If you would like to be part of our potluck please call me.
- Bring tent, sleeping bag (it gets cold - believe me!), ground pad, cooler (it gets hot too), toys (juggling stuff, snorkel or diving stuff).
- If you fly in you need to make plans to get from the airport to San Pedro. Some of the Orange Jugglers can help (floor space if you come early, ride to or from Airport, but don't assume)
- There will also be a few jugglers with private boats attending the festival. If you're nice, you may be able to hitch a ride and avoid the ferry costs.
Directions:
- To get to San Pedro, find the intersection of the 110 and 405 freeways.
- Take the 110 freeway south, and exit on Harbor Blvd. (the last offramp before the Vincent St. Thomas Bridge)
- Follow signs to Catalina Express Terminal. The terminal is in spitting range of the bridge.
- Take the boat to Two Harbors. Friday boats leave at 12:30 pm or 5:00 pm. Reserve with Frank.
- Upon arriving in Two Harbors, walk up the dock and turn left.
- Follow the path out of town and up the hillside.
- The first campsite you come to should be ours.
- Pitch your tent. Juggle. Enjoy!
